Translating in Style:
English Writing and Editing Skills
A new full-day seminar looking at an ever more important issue: ensuring the best-quality English style when translating and editing texts.
Aimed at both native and non-native speakers of English, this Camels seminar examines the principles governing good general English style and how to apply them in practice. It then looks at specific register issues with a particular focus on reporting and management translations, as well as different variants of English. Typical German and English structures and phrasing are then contrasted in depth, and practical problems discussed. Exercises allow participants to practice what they have learned.
